Who We Are
PHE Ink is Houston’s Premiere Micro Independent Publishing House created by authors with a business mind. Since we only publish 24 titles a year, we are vigilant when looking for the “right story”. We bridge gaps between large publishing houses and Print On Demand companies. And our primary objective is Getting Books into Readers’ Hands.
PHE Ink is more than just a publisher and we do more than publish books. We are a full service firm that assists authors with their literary needs – from formalizing ideas for a storyline to marketing and promoting a printed book to managing the Author’s Social Media campaign. Our relationship does not end when your book is printed. Nor do we leave you to market and promote your book alone. We cultivate long-term standing relationships with each author. We develop project plans tailored to their needs and we provide assistance, cross promotions and support. We invest our money, time and efforts into you and your work while creating a foundation for authors to be self sufficient and sustainable.
Although PHE Ink is based in Houston, our presence expands to Atlanta, Dallas, Philadelphia, California and Connecticut. Our genres span from Sci-Fi Speculative fiction, Mysteries, Suspense Thriller to Contemporary and Alternative Fiction. Our titles are globally distributed in print, eBook and The Espresso Book Machine®. We truly believe in our primary objective of “Getting Books into Readers’ Hands”.
PHE Ink may be the publisher for you. Whether you have completed a non-fiction book, penned a romance series, or have no idea where to start your story. We have comprehensive packages that suit your needs that can include writing assistance, editing, cover and interior layout and book marketing assistance. Together, we will create a successful literary path for you.

The daughter of an entrepreneur, Jean Holloway saw the only limitations you have are the ones you put on yourself. In the early 60s, her father owned his own cab in NY, which was unusual for a Black man armed with a tenth grade education.
Jean’s debut novel “Ace of Hearts” started in 1980, in answer to a bet, yet it wasn’t published until 2007. Her story’s moral: Never give up your dream.
Jean now lives in Kennesaw, GA with her husband, Fred and their dogs, Kayla and Max. Their six grown children all live nearby. They have ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
